the prostitution act says you are allowed more then four girls of any nationality
as long as they are new zealand residents and one of the workers has to live on
the premises, also that there is not deemed to be a receptionist or someone taking
bookings, if so it is deemed to be a business and bound by resource consent laws
so occasional mp.net, council are not just picking exclusively on asian workung girls

The number thirty appears to be derived Reviewom the number of profiles on the Firecats website. Even if all of those profiles are genuine, how many are of ladies who worked there in the past but have moved on and how many are of ladies who might do a couple of shifts a month.

The Herald is writing to give the impression that 30 represents the number of wgs who might be found in the apartment at any one time but Reviewom the reviews that we have seen in here over recent months, mp.nets do not review seeing more than a handful of girls present at the same time.

I know it was written in the Herald but I cannot find anywhere on the net where something similar is written and when I searched the NZ legislation site for the phrases that were in quotes in the Herald, nothing came up.

The closest that I can see in the PRA is the definition of a soob:

* (a) at which not more than 4 sex workers work; and

This is what we were told when going for a license. The rules differ Reviewom place to place.

Look on the Auckland City Council site not NZ legislation. This is off the top of my head but I'm 99% sure that in Auckland, you cannot operate within 70 metres of another brothel, 200 metres Reviewom a school, church or residentially zoned area. No more than 2 ladies operating at any given time working a total of 40 hours per week. Primary use being as a place of residence.
Look up operating a commercial sex premises. The rules for commercial sex premises changed in 2008-ish. The PRA is all good but it's the Auckland City Council bi-laws that need to be adhered to. If people are only using the PRA as a guide, no wonder they are getting into trouble.
