bangla road is the main area for nightlife ,so its important to get a hotel near there
bring your own comdoms too !
and come in a different month unless you like monsoons

Hi Cheesy, the number 5 is pronounced "Ha" in Thai hence guys put a string of 5's for laughter!

Cape Panwa is miles away from Patong (far end of the island) and there is really nothing else near it - so u will have an hour taxi ride there and back. I would advise against it for a group of young lads as you will be bored shitless and the hotel itself is dead quiet at that time of year.

Book a hotel in Patong so you can seforum.xxxger home A tuk tuk ride to Cape Panwa is gonna cost you at least 500 baht (7-8quid) a night.

Like Hobbsy said , Cape Panwa is miles away from any action and you'd need to get a taxi as there are no buses available.
Even in the high season it's definitely not the place for 4 young lads to be spending a week. I reckon you'd be well pissed of after the first day.
Only thing there is the aquarium.
I suggest you save up a little more and book a hotel in Patong.
At that time of year you can get a room for 500 a night. That's a mere £50 quid for the week. Taxis to and from Phuket town ( the closest place with any life ) are going to work out dearer than this.
The Woodlands resort in Pattaya is ok. and not too far from the action.
Have a good 1st. trip. I say 1st. because once you've been, I'm sure you'll be back.:cheers:

Thanks for the info guys!!... Thats the hotel that the travel agent said they'd price us on... i'll make sure we get in pantong! by the sounds of it its where all the action is!!!!!!
Just need to make sure we get a guest free resort!!!

I would cancel the Horizon Beach Resort. That was one I looked at in Sept, but they were charging a joiners fee. Look at some of the guesthouses in Soi San Sabai, or look at this thread:

Thing is i dont want to stay in some dingy shite hole... i wanna stay somewhere nice!... and this was one of the better places off the list of guest friendly places!!
Anyways! too late now... its bookedm sorted it on friday before i saw all these msgs!!... only 2 of us going now though!!!

i don,t know how you come to the conclusion tha just because a hotel is lady freindly ,it must therefore be a shite hole cheesy
the casa summer breeze where im staying is a great hotel, its run by a fella from las vegas ,it has penthouse suites pooll great reasturant etc
its not a shite hole
you can probably still bring a lady back to your hotel but at an extra charge---- 1000BHT- plus to the girl 200-300 b/fine and about 600-1000 fee to the hotel(per night)--
very expensive shag!but as they say in thailand up to you!

Guest friendly not guest free. You want a hotel with no joiner fee. The Patong area is best and most hotels in that area are guest friendly. When you contact them make sure you ask and bring the confirmation that they are guest friendly and there is no joiner fee with you.

Do a search as a few BM's put together a list of guest friendly hotels.
