Yes, 700 new cases out of 42,000 tests and only one death. On April 24 th, we had 21,000 tests, 649 cases and 58 death.
At least they know now how to control the spread. Ford should start rolling back to stage 2. Start from shutting down all the crowded places like, the gyms, movie theaters, restaurants, churches and schools. If that didn't help, we need Wuhan style shut down.

Other than testing, the rise in cases have come as a result of irresponsible behaviour and if we do go through another goddamn shutdown, I wish nothing but ill will for the people who have ruined this for all of us. For all those who have gathered in huge groups and not followed the proper protocol, FUCK YOU! Because of you, people beyond those who have contracted the virus will suffer. Some friends of mine who are small business owners will lose everything they've put their money into just to put food on their table and a roof over their heads no thanks to the defiant assholes. We need to increase the fines on those exceeding gathering limits to really make it hurt. If any of them were on CERB, they should lose that too going forward.

700 cases is a lot but it’s a 1.7% positivity rate vs 5% back in April.

the whole point is seeing that things (these new cases) can quickly trend toward the direction of overwhelming the hospitals that's the whole point of recording the daily cases of infections. So they can see which direction we are trending and try to stop it from being a problem. As you said and the provinces medical officials said as well we are trending toward 1000 daily. If that happens you bet hospital will be swamped.

Hospital admissions appear to be rising from what I noticed. You know the simple answer to this is to just shut EVERYTHING accept the hospitals and emergency services for 2 weeks and this thing will go away or at the least, be insignificant. Instead our Gov does a half ass attempt that only makes it worse. Does anyone else think the Gov does not want this to go away?
