For those of us who are erectionally challenged, exciting news! I recently got a Costo membership and just out of curiosity went to the pharmacy department and asked what their price was for Viargra. $51. Not impressed, I asked about generic Viagra (We're talkin' a pack of 4x100mg.) Get this! $14!!! that's like $3.50/pill compared to $12!! I asked "Are you sure?" and even the girl said "I know! That can't be right!" and she double checked. I picked up three packs that came to $36 bucks (bulk savings??) so they were only $12 each. Even the guy that handed them over to me said, "That price isn't right but we'll let it go for you for today..."

I don't think you can get any coverage for Viagra or Cialis

I had a px at another pharmacy- I asked them to fax it over to Costco. And no, Blue Cross or Alberta Health don't cover Viagra. I used to be on a plan (can't remember which one) that covered 80%. But at that price, who needs coverage!? If the pharmacy has it on record that your doctor has prescribed Viagra in the past and you run out and don't have a current px they are authorized to allow you to have one refill without a px.

Some drug plans have coverage for ED drugs, but not all. Those that do usually have a dollar/year limit. Viagra used to be much more expensive, and the generic was cheaper. Then Pfizer lost a court case over their patent and lowered the price to match the generic, down to about $41/package of four 100mg. My script fills at 2 boxes at a time, it's $81.78 for two boxes, or $40.89/box. What pisses me off is that they charge the same regardless of dose. I use 25mg, so I use a pill cutter and cut them in fourths. For some reason, the generic pills don't cut well. They crumble. The Pfizer ones cut cleanly. For that reason alone I buy the brand version. Teva's manufacturing is different. I haven't heard of a massive Teva price drop. If they are $14 a box instead of $41 (I suspect someone entered the price wrong) then I would put up with the poorer pill construction.

When I retired, I lost my benefits which covered 100% of ED drugs to $800/yr, but I buy a reduced form of my previous benefits that's available for retirees, and I still have some coverage.

Ive got a prescription for injectable cialis. I prefer it much better then pill due to the fact i can regulate the does better then pill... and its 100% covered through insurance

I've used the generic Viagra for a couple of years occasionally. In the real world face to face I know men would be too embarrassed to talk about it so maybe I can talk about it here.

First time I took it it was like being 25 again. Then the side effects hit me. Severe sinus pain and stuffy nose and my heart was pounding and I got dizzy and I felt so lousy it certainly didn't make the sex any fun. Next time I cut the pill and the side effects were still there but a bit less. Next time I cut it smaller but like Bill said the generics don't cut very well. Eventually I found a size that minimized the side effects but still worked. However it was a fine line because it was impossible to get the same size each time so sometimes it didn't work at all. then I noticed over time they just simply didn't work. So I started using a larger dose but then the side effects come back. plus there's the waste from cutting them and they crumble and the cost. My drug plan never paid for them. I usually don't take one anymore because I never know if they will work or if I'll feel like shit for most of the day. Getting old fucking sucks. maybe I should save the money and go to the pot shop instead....

The Pfizer pills cut clean if you use a pill cutter. I get some sinus congestion and heartburn, but have found 25mg a great compromise dose for me. Have you tried the Cialis style drugs to see if the side effects are better? I haven't, but some guys say they've had better results with other drugs.

Cialis generic works well and no side effects. About$40 per box of 4. Not covered by health plans.

I have been shopping around and the average going price is $48-$52 bucks for both Viagra and generic. So for the same price I always chose Viagra. I don't think it was a matter of a court case. Pfizer had the patent on the drug and a company can only hold an excusive drug patent for 20 years before they have to share it. That's when Pfizer dropped their prices to compete with the generics. (But I still think there was a lot of collusion between them and the generics to keep the price high!)

I only get a headache a couple hours after the drug wears off. Other than that I enjoy being "studly" while it lasts! And half and even a quarter of a 100ml. still works for me, too.

Any time I'm in Latin America I pick up a ton of generic cialis for dirt cheap. I paid $25 for 64 pills that I cut into 4.

After Pfizer lost the court case, they knew that if they kept the price higher than the Teva generic version would be a disaster - sales would plummet. So they matched the generic price and began the ad campaign about how you could get original Viagra for the new price, and I bet it worked. While it's true that the patent was set to expire in 2014, this case not only allowed Teva unlimited rights to sell their drugs two years early, Pfizer had to compensate them for a period of exclusion that was deemed unworthy.

That's all history now of course. Costco's standard drug pricing is usually the same as most places, but their dispensing fee is lower, hence why they often have a lower total cost tot he consumer. I belong to Costco for many other reasons, so this is a sweet bonus for me. That's why it's $41/box for 4x100mg vs $48-52 at some other places. Shoppers for example charges a $3.15 higher standard dispensing fee than Costco.

I don't have true erectile dysfunction, as I can get hard and stay hard, but it's more difficult than when I was young. I use the booster mostly when I go for a massage as then I know things are guaranteed to work. For most guys like me (erections are still possible, just not as strong/long lasting) the 25mg dose is usually enough depending on your physiology. I'm light (155lbs) and lean (<10%bf) so drugs tend to metabolize well in me. I also avoid fatty foods and try to take the dose on a fairly empty stomach, increasing it's effectiveness and reducing the dose required. Being able to have sixteen erections per box makes it actually pretty economical.

The worst side effect for me is heart-burn. I never get it otherwise, so I really notice it with Viagra.

Heart-burn and headaches, little to no side effects from Cialis, major side effects from Viagra especially the ONE time I tried max dose of 100mg, never again. I stick to Cialis most of the time but have some 50mg Viagra around for sessions when I don't have enough advance planning for Cialis. For me, Viagra acts much quicker (around 30 minutes) as compared to Cialis (closer to 2 hours); not sure why, not what I read in the literatures but I guess everyone is different. I get mine from Costco too but not at the same price as RMG, lol.
