Clubs in Patong....

What is happening with all the clubs in Patong lately?

Tiger put their price upto 340 baht to get in which is a total rip.

Banana is still 200 as far as I know....

Tai Pan now closes at 3am instead of 3:30am+

Safari is always closing early and/is empty.

Even local karaoke bars are closing early.

I now see more and more police at all of these places. What are they doing? Are they not getting enough pay? Do they just want everything to close by 3am, where it used to be 5am or later....

Anyone know?

Something is happening at the moment.. Safari is getting closed early and even before clubs in town..

One of my late night / early morning haunts was just given a radio from the police as a present.. presumably to listen if theres closure issues.. Have not been out to chat it with him..

Still Phuket is a lot better than BKK and other parts of Thailand.

the usual ups and downs - at least there hasn't been an official 'directive' from BKK that everywhere must close by X am. So oce the MiBs have sorted to the new rates it should all be back to normal....?

The late hours o fthe clubs are the best part IMO. I hate the fact that everything closes so early in BKK. I hope they sort it out soon, I like going home at 8am from Safari everynight.

well, i might be tame this holiday(with someone) so i wont be doing the 8am shuffle every morning, but would still like the option to head up to my fav place, safarai, when i want

I agree.. don't have to everynight but still would like that option. I love the all night thing there. Its going to get as bad as California where its suppose to close by 2AM, so jus to make sure they strt to shuffle you out by 1:30 and stop serving by 1:15 sometimes... bolloks that. :ytounge:

Until the election is over (April 2nd - lower house and April 19th - Senate) then forget about very late opening. 3am appears where the bar has settled for now.

I think its a bigger problem that people are going out to drink way to late.
If people could change their habbit and start going out 8-9ish there would be plenty of time for reaching the clubs even when closing 3 o'clock.
Lately it looks like a lot people have their first drink as late as 11-12, and then its not much more time left..............

I agree Geir, I would prefer to go to the bars around 8 but nothing happens before 10-10:30 i.e girls don't turn up to the bars until then.

MY LAST TOUR WE STARTED GOING TO THE LIVING ROOM AROUND 8..WE ALWAYS HAD A FEW NICE RELAXING BEERS WHILE PLAYING POOL...WE USUALLY STAYED THERE FOR 2 HRS...........UNTIL THE LADIES CAME TO WORK IN THE BEER BARS,...........AND THEN WE HIT THE SOIS AT 10........

Is Tiger up to 340b now? I was there just 3 weeks ago and thought it was 220b with one free drink. Hazy memory on that one, but it is still a long way off from before when you'd buy a ticket for 100b and one free drink -- but then buy a few extra entrance tickets because the drinks were more than 100b insided.

hmm, still prefer Baya or Tai Pan. Can always get a free drink at Tai Pan too if you grab one of those Puzzle magazines and get the coupon.

Safari closed at 3 again last night............got a call from a girl that went there and wanted to go back to my bar............but we also have to close 3-3.30.
Christmas this year was spesial, normaly its only christmas-eve and new year-eve the bars can stay open as long as they want. But this year we could more or less stay open as long as we wanted during the whole period

I thought Tiger Disco was a lot of fun last night, and I will definitely go back again soon if the prices hold around this level. The music was good and there were plenty of quality girls to choose from. I still think the place is just a little bit too dark inside, but sitting outside and watching traffic is a real pleasure!!! Very easy to grab a hottie walking past, get her number, and call later if you so choose...

I never thought Safari was that great anyway. I felt like it went downhill around about the time the ladyboy dunk tank arrived....

I went to the Living Room a few times as well before walking you know who to work. If I start that early its hard to make it until the carack of ddawn everyday and she likes staying out that late. I do too. I like staying out later then the norm in LOS. I can get home around the 3am mark here in California, thats just to early for me. I was averaging around 11-12 before hitting MTB this last trip. Damn good times. As I remember Geir we were at your place many times past 3am were we not?

tiger was 120 with a drink in dec last year. Last week it was 480 with one drink, i was not going to cop that s..t, went to taipan which closed i think at 3:30-4:00 most nights
