Eagle police seeking more info following ‘illicit massage’ business arrests​

Eagle Police are encouraging the public to come forward with information following an investigation and arrests made Thursday night at an Eagle business.

The department announced Thursday evening in a news release that detectives arrested three people that night following an investigation into Head to Toe Massage Therapy, located near the intersection of S. Eagle Rd. and E. Riverside Dr. in Eagle.

The release alleges that the business offered “illicit massage services.” The department charged each of the people arrested with multiple charges, including human sex trafficking, interstate trafficking in commercial sexual activity, and prostitution-related charges.

The individuals arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail are David Packham, 68, Xinhui Shi, 61, and Doris Li, 38.

Authorities also searched a residence near Fruitwood Pl. and E. Ranch Dr. in Eagle, the release said.

The department asks anyone with additional information potentially related to the investigation to contact Eagle Police Detective Pacheco at 208-577-3734, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers of Southwest Idaho at 343COPS.com

Go Do It: Indoor Trampoline Parks​

Anna Daly writes: Freezing temperatures in the Treasure Valley this weekend may have you looking for fun family activities to escape the cold.

Kids of all ages can bounce off some energy at the trampoline parks across the valley highlighted below. Something to keep in mind before going is that all of the listed places require grip socks. Guests can either buy them when they get there or bring their own.

Fly High Boise Trampoline Park: Boise’s Fly High Trampoline Park located off Fairview Avenue has wall-to-wall trampolines, foam pits, airbags, super trampolines, Olympic trampolines, kids courts, a Nerf arena, and more. Costs range from $24 for kids 5 and under and $25 for kids ages 6 and up. Fly High is open seven days a week with varying hours.

Jump Time: Jump Time in Meridian off Franklin Road has been open for over a decade featuring virtual reality, dodgeball, an arcade, a laser maze, a kid’s court, and more. Day ticket prices range from $12 – $40. Jump Time is open Sunday – Thursday from 10 am – 8 pm and Friday – Saturday from 10 am – 10 pm.

Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park: Also located in Meridian, Urban Air has a variety of jump activities including laser tag, mini golf, climbing walls, a ropes course, zipline, basic trampolines, and more. Day passes range from $23 – $31 and can be purchased online in advance. Urban Air is open seven days a week with varying hours. For more information, click here.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park: Sky Zone in Nampa off I-84’s Garrity exit features a zipline, freestyle jump, dodgeball, a climbing wall, dropzone, a warrior course, and more. Day passes range from $20 – $30. Sky Zone is open Sunday – Thursday from 9 am – 9 pm and Fridays and Saturdays from 9 am – 10 pm. Single-day passes can be reserved on Sky Zone’s website.

Peasley St. stairs being repaired following vandalism​

A set of stairs is nearing its debut following vandalism last month.

The “Peasley St. Connection,” as the stairs project is known, will offer a pathway between the southern part of Ann Morrison Park and the Boise Bench, near the intersection of Peasley St. and Crescent Rim Dr., for walkers and bikers. The stairs feature a bike “runnel,” a built-in platform that allows cyclists to easily roll their bikes up and down the stairs.

But while the stairs have been under construction since the summer, a vandalism incident on December 8 delayed their opening to the public. In a December Facebook post, the Boise Parks and Recreation Department commented that it appeared a vehicle had “attempted to drive up on the staircase,” damaging some of the lower steps.

On Friday, the Boise Parks and Recreation Department said via Facebook that crews this week worked on completing lighting for the project, and a contractor is proceeding with final permitting. The post said new parts were ordered to replace those damaged by the vandalism, and they are expected to arrive and be installed in February.

A Boise Parks and Recreation Department Instagram post from last summer said the stairs help the city toward its goal of all residents being within a 10-minute walk of a park.
