Question Northside Places

I live and work on the north side, my shop is right on the Yellowhead, but my favourite massage places are all clustered in the deep south. In terms of semi-legit places north of downtown (ignoring No.1 and Laura who are downtown), I have been to these two:

-Miracle Health - I am not sure if this is actually north or still downtown at 118 Avenue, I just can't get over the dungeon like (dim basement) settings and the remote shower locations; just a very strange layout. Despite the fact that I do like one of the masseuses there, the place just doesnt measure up to the south spas.
-Sole Spa - last time I was there, I noticed the gaps in the room divider and could clearly listen to every word of the conversation between masseuse and the lady being massaged next door, a total mood killer, definitely don't want to listen to a lady talking about her grandchildren while I am trying to relax myself, not a huge fan of the layout and the lack of showers.

I am paying attention to the thread of Kissy and I will try soon enough. Q is in one of those TOFTT mood again, is there any other semi-legit places north of the Yellowhead worth trying? Just give me a name and location and I will go try.

I wasn't impressed with the massage skills the one time I went there. Elbows on my knots, it was not very pleasurable, left unhappy. I wouldn't go back.

Qster, Sole Spa rooms remained the same still but the facilities are good still. It's renamed as Best Care. You can leave happy afterwards. But as you mentioned last time you were there, lower the voice down a bit. Top 1 maybe not what we are looking for but they love to extend your time so they can earn more cause it's slow.........
Lewis in White Oaks behind the greasy Shadified Salon is good quality still.
Outside Lucky Market in North side, the Lucky Nail Salon closed and reopened as Modern Nails and Massage. You can TOFTT there. And Kissy Nails on 97 St.

Top1 - My one experience there, saw a slim build 40ish lady, massage was loosely draped, no hint of any extras and was exactly as Soreone described it: "wasn't impressed with the massage skills the one time I went there. Best Care - Mybad for calling it Sole Spa, been there a couple of times, last time right after the name change, may have to try again soon.

Lewis - Seen her, excellent massage and value but no HE sadly.

124th Jenny - Texted her old number, no reply, drove by on the weekend, the place does not look like it is operating, but it is hard to tell because of its location. I will keep any eye out for ads on Kijiji.

In late summer of 2019, I stopped by Jenny's on 124 St. I didn't make an appointment and just usually stop by as normal. Door was locked but I knocked thinking she was busy in one of the rooms. Jenny came to the door and she indicated the business had closed. She wasn't doing any massages anymore since it was a strain on her hands/fingers. It almost seemed like she was getting a bit of arthritis at the age of 32ish. A shame because Jenny was one of my handful of favourites. Jenny was still there and she was doing some sort of medical billing out the location.

She didn't indicate where the other lady, Apple had gone.

Yep, Jenny has been shut down a long time, Apple left over a year ago!
Went to Best Care last week, booked in, but had to wait half an hour for Annie to show up ( I had started to get dressed) , room was very cold , massage was ok, she asked I declined, not sure I’ll be back.

Dropped by Best Care unannounced, met by a conservatively dress masseuse. I was led to the first room, much larger than the ones I have been in the past. The massage was nice and relaxing, medium light pressure, got my full time worth and may be a few minutes more. Would have preferred a firmer massage but it wasn't bad. The massage was fully draped, she was extra careful on the flip. Absolutely no hint of any extra; because of how quicky she covered me up upon entry and how careful she was on the flip, I never asked for more. My only complaint was the the room was a little on the cold side, the table was creaky.

I can tell business is slow, when I arrived, the shoe tray was empty and dry, I did not hear anyone coming in the entire time I was there, and when I left, the shoe tray was empty again.

There is a lot of empty shoe trays these days. A common theme in this industry. Post Christmas slump.

I have seen the same thing. Ladies very happy to see me. (More than usual) Colder rooms due to lack of use. (Don’t want to waste the power on an unused room).

Is this a typical January slump or has our economic slump amplified this as well?

I’m seeing more services being provided and less instances of being shuffled through quickly. My go to places have become quite appreciative which is nice.
