Park Hotel -- The End of a Legend??

The Park Hotel is a cheap rundown hotel with a bar that features a girl show on Friday and most Saturday nights. The show is unique and attended mostly by Gringos. The bar is a gathering place for working chicas of various quality. Very hit and miss. I have encountered some real gems there. The beer is cold and the patrons nice. The boss has trouble keeping good help because of his distrusting personality, altered in part by who knows what. Bartenders seldom remain employed there long. He ran off a good guitar player who entertained patrons for tips.

The bar has some unique characters hanging around there, including some who live at the hotel. Retired Gringos living in and around San Jose also gather there on the weekend for cold beer. They are interesting to talk with. I knew some Gringos who lived at the Park Hotel, who have now departed this world, some by natural causes and some by drugs or alcohol. The owner is not a nice person. He cheats the girls out of the admission money for the shows and has drunken rages against the help.

All this may come to an end soon.

Rumor has it that the owner is sick and seeking a sale of the joint.

In the last 4 years i have been going to CR, one thing has stayed constant and that is the owner is always looking to sell or trying to get a partner. Other than the great shows there is nothing else. I don't want to character assasin the owner publicly but if you need more info you can contact me privately.

The Park Hotel is an experience.. I took an unsuspecting non working lady there. On the way I told her that it was a high class hotel owned by a gringo. She was shocked to see it and even more stunned when I insisted that most bars in the US looked like the bar there. She kept asking me if Gringos really stayed there. Then I kept raving about the dance team that would be there in an hour that was internationally known. The female bartender quickly saw that my company was not a working gal and was naive. She told her she could close her eyes if she did not want to look. Well this blew my game... I thought I was going to get killed. But she did tolerate the show but kept asking me how many times I had been there before and why in the world I would pay money to see it. I told her I normally take a new guy there just for the shock factor and had only brought her as a joke.. Oh yes.... She of course made me give my raffle ticket to the guy next to me for the free BJ.
I have heard some things about the owner too.. however he has been polite to me when I was there and I see no reason to bash him. AFter all, not too many guys have a costa rica dance team like him.. lol
I did in my mind question the sign that said bartenders work for tips only. After all she should get hazard pay being behind the bar with the baby oil flying off of the private parts during the show.

true or not I do not know but when I lived in CR in 95 many people told me that the park hotel was kind of like the Brooklyn bridge...Bill had sold off a piece of it many times to unsuspecting Gringos that got nothing in return. Let the buyer beware is good advice in CR.
I have always liked to stop by the park for a beer at least once while in CR on vacation...and have found an occassional diamond in the rough.

I like going to Park during the day and having a few beers. Once in awhile you will catch a diamond in the rough but most are not up to my standards.


The show is overrated in my opinion. Newbies have to see it once but after that it is kinda sad. Mostly Nicas with horrendous C-section scars( the doctors cut from bellybutton down to pu*sy). I think the show could be much better if Bill would get better quality girls and the only way is if he paid them more. Although he says all the money collected goes to the girls, it doesn't. They get paid next to nothing.

I have had a few beers with Bill but would never be comfortable getting too close. He has many demons and in my opinion alcohol is the least of them.

I have not been to the show in a long time but I have been to 5 or 6 shows there. First they close the bar and will make you wait for a long time before the show starts...Bill's way of trying to get you to buy more beer. When they finally get started they have about 6 girls walk out onto the top of the bar naked....after handing the guys sitting around the bar a lot of small bottles of baby oil. The girls come out and do a lot of lesbo action...insertions....sometimes will let guys sitting at the bar use the toys on them...I have even seen guys sitting at the bar eating the girls during the show.
Some of you guys that have been recently may be able to give a better update, if things have changed.

I went to the Park Show once. Once. And once was plenty enough for me.

I looked down the bar and saw this too. Eeeww. I wouldn't do it. Even when Bill nudged me forward and tried getting me to eat her out, yelling: "GIT IN THERE BOY! THAT pu*sy'S WORLD CLASS!"...Nope. Not gonna do it.

Funny thing, the audience's choice for "Best Show" would get up and pick the audience's "Best Participant" for a free blow job. The guy next to me won, but refused it. So she picked me as runner up. Dunno why since I was the only guy refusing to put my face in there.

Took the BJ, went back downstairs and lo and behold! I held the winning ticket for the free blow job raffle. Bill had a great time razzing me to no end. Didn't do it though. I gave my winning ticket to a random guy at the bar. We snuck out and made our way back to the BM reeking of Johnson & Johnson baby oil.

Maybe I was that random guy as I got a free BJ that way when I was there. I have to agree that it takes a very brave (or stupid) guy to go down on those gals though I've heard it happens. When I was there, there was only one of the girls that I even wanted to rub oil on. Words of advice for newbies or those who have not made it to the show yet. It is definitely worth seeing at least once. If you go and plan on participating be sure to wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. For some reason, Bill provides the bottles of oil but does not stock any paper towels in the restroom to clean up with afterwards. WHAT A MESS!

That would be just too funny if that was you! To this day, I always wonder if that guy I gave it to was able to redeem the ticket for a free Blow Job! Was this in June 2001? If so, small world huh?

I never went back after that, but I'll never forget the unmistakable smell of baby oil, beer, and ass. :shock:
