PSP newbie has questions about custom firmware?

I have a Phat PSP(1000) and I need help. Do I need a Pandora's Battery to download custom firmware? Which custom firmware is the best? How do you make a Pandora's battery? How do you download custom firmware onto psp? Do I use a computer, and how? Do I need a custom firmware enabler to download? Sorry it is a lot, but I am a total noob. I want to download from Psp-hacks.com Also I wanted to download from PSPGamecrazy.com is that a reputable site? One last thing what is the required memory for GTA: Liberty city stories? If someone can answer these I will post two more stupid questions and choose them, for extra points. Thanks!

GTA Liberty city is 562Mb. You can make a Pandora Battery only if you already have another PSP with custom Firmware. Do some searching and you'll find a tutorial. PSP hacks is a reputable site, I haven't heard of the other.

PSP phat (1000) are hackable. 2 things you'll need:
â–º Pandora battery (You can make your own Pandora Battery)
â–º Magic Memory Stick (You can also make your own Magic Memory Stick)

Note:
â–º An extra PSP battery is needed if you're going to hard-mod your psp battery to make a Pandora battery. ONce you've hard-modded a psp battery, You can't use it again as a normal battery.
â–º You can Soft-mod a psp battery to turn it into a pandora battery, then turn the soft-modded Pandora battery back to normal. This requires another Hacked PSP to soft-mod a battery (Ask a friend).
