What is the deal for tonight then?? i just walked to the beach and found at least 3 bars selling beer as normal, anybody have any plans to meet up anywhere for a few??

I went to Bangla 21:30 and as most of the bars were closed at that time and no music I went home and didnt call in the staff. A few bars were open when I checked.

Thats an odd one - HM Queens Birthday is one of the most respected days of the year - so would'nt open anyway, but Mrs got called at 22:00 to say places were open, too late by then as the girls already were mao from the Hash - this has certainly been a year with erratic bar closing.

Possibly 30th July (Buddha holiday) and normally the 12th of August as this is the Queens Birthday (Mothers Day).

The national referendum on the newly-drafted constitution, which will take place August 19.

This means the night of August 18th is virtually certain to see a bar closing day.

(Midnight 18th to 10pm (ish) with any luck on the 19th).

Yesterday 29th was full bar closing day - tonight should see more watering holes open.

In December, the major one is HM The King's Birthday on the 5th, so i am sure bars would be closed?

Also another one Constitution Day on December 10th, will bars be closed on this day?

5th Dec - Always used to be - could be close to a possible general election and this year is HM 80th Birthday, although current guys in charge relaxed Royal Birthday rules. I'd suggest they may well be closed (80% chance).

10th Dec - NOT a bar closing day (Constitution Day 5555 ... they've just written a new one).
