GILMER, Texas — Two people were arrested and a spa business was shut down after an undercover operation by police in Gilmer.


On Monday, Gilmer police officers launched "Operation: Not So Happy Ending" at AA Spa, located at 1324 US Highway 271 North, using an undercover officer and then arrested two people. Kun Lu is charged with a massage therapy license violation, while Zhai Li is charged with prostitution and a massage therapy license violation.


In addition to their arrests, AA Spa was shut down, police said. They added this type of criminal conduct is commonly associated with human and sex trafficking.
