Man, someone mentions their feelings and the WHOLE BOARD blows up!

I am just going to mention that in this case, it may be best to read all of this individuals posts http://www.bodyworkonline.com/forum/search.php?search_author=ace88 , and then it may make sense why the "board blows up".

Then again, it may not strike you in the same way things have struck me.

I am staying out of these posts (re: ace) d/t a prior PM situation with him and my own beliefs about why he has tried to entrench himself into these boards -- but suffice it to say.... I have a tendency to lean toward agreeing with Mick regarding this particular individual. :?

Geez, how predictable Texas gal. You couldn't stay quiet forever now, could you? For those of you who don't know, when I first started on this board I made a comment that totally fit into the essence of a thread on abdominal massage. It was simply about why some therapists don't do it, and I didn't use descriptive terminology. She deemed it inappropriate, but I don't think so. Anyhow, let me just say right now to everyone on the board - I apologize. Since then, I tend to believe that Texas gal has ganged up other moderators against me, even though many of my posts were about Narnia, marketing decisions, and other everyday topics. She refuses to forgive me or let it go. It's really ashame. Yes, we, PM'd back and forth because I disagree with a lot of her assertions, but when she asked me to stop I stopped completely, as asked. So all I can say is I am sorry.

I don't know what your reasons were then, but you are entitled to them. I just wonder if every time I post I am going to have this discredit type thread from you behind it. I really don't get your reason for posting this. And if you agree with what Mick actually said, I'd suggest you have a problem. People cannot control subconscious feelings...they only can control whether they act on them, which of course, I would never do. To deny people natural feelings is to make them not human almost.

OK dragonflies. Good research. I think you have to bring up the context in which those things were brought up, as to simply quote a few words which is a bit misleading. The second quote is extremely misleading. My guess is that these were said about why clients might be uncomfortable with massage in certain instances....I don't know that I was talking about my therapist, but I think I might have been talking about a therapist situation in general. I think perhaps I should go find a few of your posts and quote a few words and I could probably make you look the same way.

And furthermore, you should really get your facts straight before you start making accusations. The therapist I am talking about now is not the same one I referred to earlier in the whole Christmas gift thread. She's the one at the chiropractor, this lady is someone I see only once every four months maybe....they are not even the same person!

Having a history of sexual attraction to two massage therapists now seems to reinforce my opinion that you need a change of scenery or modality.

If you're not looking for this kind of advice Ace why are you trolling outside of the Client sections? Why do you pepper your posts with sexual suggestions and reinforce your religious beliefs and marital status?

I've seen websites just when doing searches of massage therapist where they (male massage therapists mostly) have pictures of themselves on their site either showing off their muscles or actually naked or near naked.

I am afraid to say too much about it to her because let's face it - I am alone in a room with a female therapist not much older than me.

I was the one that asked you to delete it. You popped in and said most massage therapists probably don't give abdominal massage because when you received one you were sexually aroused. I think I used much more non-descriptive terms than I could have used, and I still think it fit into the essence of the thread, why therapists don't do stomach massages....but I have apologized for it. I saw something on another forum, that perfectly fits my feelings for the way you have handled yourself since you showed up on the scene:

Along with your "Narnia" posts (which I haven't even seen yet, I really don't get much chance to actually enjoy and "read" our boards) - and your "what will I do for a gift for my therapist?" posts.... You made yourself "busy unearthing" threads that dealt with sexual issues. I personally find this disconcerting.

PS - I don't take back at all what I said about search engines and massage therapy...particularily male massage therapists. What I found when I tried to find a simple MT in my area upon searches on google was embarrassing, and harmful to regular MT's trying to make an everyday living in this occupation. I am obviously not trying to hurt good male massage therapists...and there are plenty of them. I'm just stating the facts, which you don't seem to like.

Also, perhaps the reason I only comment on certain threads is because I am a CLIENT! While I am interested in massage, as of yet I am not trained in techniques and modalities, so I can only comment on how a client feels in certain massage situations.

the second is, to me, more of a 'picture' into someone's marital communication status, rather than a 'feeling' expressed by ace toward the therapist. (the 'her' is ace's wife.)

my question to the mt's here is would you take a male client if you knew his wife didn't know he was receiving legitmiate massage. is it even our business to ask?

i'm not sure if ace is trolling or not. i don't really care. i do know that he's honest enough as a client to try to express things that most of us would never hear from our client's mouth.

I Finally read through all these post. First of all the thread is about Housecalls the past oh 10 post I read had NOTHING to do with that, all it was and seems like is childish bickering back and forth. Someone needs to stop ... I am not naming names nor do I want anyone to asssume names. Who cares if I am a Republican or a Democrat? What if I am an Independent? What are you? And this doesn't belong in the Business Marketing section.

You are right. I don't know if there are good male massage therapists, but by some of the posts I've read I'd assume there are, and just by sheer numbers there have to be good ones.

Back to Shannon's point, I agree that we have to get back to the topic at hand. It was the mods who injected religion into this thread and they called out a particular poster instead of sticking to the topic at hand. That is what diverted this topic, which was a good thread. Mods, be prepared to be PM'D by these two other mods who have been against me since the beginning all because of my original post, no matter what they tell you. I apologized and deleted the original post.

This is what I find the oddest..... this is primarily a board for professional massage therapists, I can't fathom why a CLIENT is trying so hard to join in on these discussions. I go to the dentist regularly yet I don't feel the need to go an join in dental discussions on a message board directed at dental professionals. There is a client talking about massage area on this board, but that section doesn't have the same audience as the rest of the board.

Intentionally or not, ace88 has provided way too much information on a message board - the 33yr old male married church goer with 2 massage therapists that aren't discussed with the wife, number and age of children, etc is more personal information than almost anyone else on this board has felt the need to divulge, and all done within a very short time of joining the board.

I just find the whole thing odd.

This is just a message board it isn't worth getting upset about. Even so, I find a lot of ace88's posts not appropriate for an online community of professional massage therapists.
