My second trip to Phuket will be with a good female friend of mine in october. I'm a guy, so obviously one of my main goals will be to chase girls. Right now I'm talking exclusively about non-sex workers. Sure, I'll probably give them some money anyway, since I am aware of their financial situation. But my question is this: will the girls avoid me because I'm there with my female friend? Will they all think we are a couple or will they be as flirty as many of you claim they are?

I guess it's not that common for a guy and a girl to travel together without having any kind of sexual or emotional attachment to each other, but we've been friends since we were kids. I hope that people won't perceive us as a couple because then it would become a rather boring trip

If people see you together then I guess the general assumption they will make is that you are indeed "together". As an example, I have been out to beer bars in Patong with 2 (non-BG) female thai friends of mine in the past and got absolutely no attention from the BG's. Admittedly though, I was not looking to hook up with any BG's on those occasions.

I'm sure if you put yourself out there and if necessary, point out to anyone you're interested in that you are single, the fact you have a female companion won't be a problem.

As I said previously "a drugs a drug - all of them can, and do, kill the young everyday regardless of the type or year you lived through".
I've seen it first hand and althought the drugs may not have been as strong believe me there were still plenty around that could kill you very easily.
As I have said previously all you 20 and 30 guys do still have to reach my age yet, and its not only drugs that kill the young.
