Seems simple to me that if you come to Patong after Pattaya and are not enjoying it....hop on a flight back to where you were having more fun, no?

I repeat...if your main interest is just sex then Pattaya is best but most believe Phuket has more to offer than just that.

Every place has its own "charme", and pattaya and phuket are far away. IMHO Pattaya is nightlife with something like beaches around, but less, and Phuket means Hoilday, beaches and a nightlife as an option on top. So its quite the opposite, but boring? Cant remember one minute i was bored in phuket:bangin:

Its quite, cheap and can be interesting if you like "going Native". I use it as a "base" . "Bangkok is only 3 hours away for dirty weekends" though. Short time freelancers go for around 200Baht (sometimes cheaper) if they know you live locally. I'm thinking of moving to Ayuttahya if I can get a job there .. same same as Korat .. but only 1 hour from BKK!

just think though if you did not have Malaysian or CS with you would you have had the same good time? Me thinks not. You woul;d have a good time use but I think defo more quality came cos of the mates you met here. I never liked Patts much but I have only spent a short time there. Too commerical for me. I will though on my next trip give it some more love. Gonna see if Malaysian will be there at the same time though.. Hes a crazy guy.

Exactly, sorry LOS I thought my sarcasm would be obvious. My opinion of Patong couldn’t be more opposite of my post. It just befuddles me how anyone could say Patong is boring. But it is fine with me if that is someones opinion, stay away more fun for us!

Exactly my point DD. If he had a group of ''ready made friends'' he would not have been bored. The difference between Pattaya and Patong ( I have been to both) is that in Pattaya there are more girls available all day long.

His post was not totally about Pattaya is better than Patong. He stated that he had been to Patong on several occassions and that on his latest visit, things were becoming boring with previous visits. This to me suggests some sort of trend or decrease in the nightlife. I'd like to know more of his views and reasons.

None of the current bar owners flamed or criticised him. Maybe they want to learn something from one of the regular punters to Patong.

It's kinda funny to see how defensive some BM's get about the Pattaya/Patong comparison. It's like a regular Fatwa - no wonder Tiger never returned to post again.

Phuket is the place I've chosen to live and, while Pattaya also has "lazing by the pool, swimming (be sure you've had your shots), diving, jetskiing, canoeing, elephant trekking, golfing, karting, shooting, fishing, massaging, bungy jumping, bowling, eating, drinking, fcuking", plus a few other things like sliding down a cable from a giant tower, it can't compare to Phuket in terms of natural beauty.

However, when I moved here from Bangkok, Patong was definitely a let-down for me in terms of girls. Dismal daytime action and, in the evenings the proportion of stunners to punters is pretty dire compared with Pattaya. There is a relatively limited choice of gogos, where the stunners can afford to wait for punters who are rich, handsome and young.

My advice to discerning mongers: Taking a Bangkok girl to Pattaya is like packing a cupcake to a bake-sale. But if you're heading to Phuket and you've found a Bangkok stunner (one that you can stand to be with for a week), pack the cupcake. You'll avoid a lot of potentially fruitless hunting, and she'll appreciate the vacation from Bangkok (and hopefully demonstrate her apprecation nightly).

Of course it goes without saying, for those who need more than just an Asian Vegas, Phuket is the obvious choice.

From all my friends who came here and have seen Pattaya this high season, all liked Patong much more; I personally have never seen so many hot girls here in the last 2-3 years.

Outrageous however the asking prieces of the girls...
