I had a return visit to Club Lime tonight with JudgeHolden and Michel from Germany (Not sure he reads the forum or not).

JudgeHolden brought in a bottle of wine, not so bad, and I never drink wine normally.

Still like to listen to different music and chill out but the place was almost empty. Later on we went back to MTB and closed 03.30.

they have some major talent for booking!
some of those DJ's are the best in hip-hop and i mean the best!!
i mean i could see some of those DJ's getting 5-10k for a booking
just going off that i doubt they would be involved with her it wasnt worth it

but i still cant see a club in Patong being able to pay her, say 100k(just a guess)
how is that possible?

Dj's bring plenty more than a record bag with them, especially bigger named djs. I just played clublime the other week opening up for spyda monkey. He brought his mixer and laptop. Most of the time you'll try and only bring your music. But not all clubs have the gear you want to use or they can't find it. There are sevral places on the island to rent sound and dj equipment, and yes that hikes the price up about 10k baht onto what ever the dj is getting paid. Im not sure how much she got paid or how much spyda monkey got, but if you want to have a party with a well known dj and sound and equip your looking at dropping atleast 30,000 and that doesn't include reserve payments on the gear, that can tack on another 10k. I don't see dj n.... or sypda monkey taking anything less than 20k each, but that's just an estimation. If anyone here is needs any help booking djs or finding gear to rent for an event just toss me an email and ill gladly help you out.

What I think it is maybe. She is booked for one big gig in Thailand and she then does a few smaller gigs for not much money but playing to her home crowd!

I have seen the likes of Erick Morillo, Sanchez, Dimitry from Paris playing to around 300-400 people. When you know their fees would be $$$$$$$$. But they enjoy the underground, smaller venues as much as the Open air gigs to 1000's.... takes them back to where they started, they can test new sets etc...
