Both are the same though, I think Magniers night have been changed for the english market, But up in Scotland they get Bulmers straight from the Irish brewerys, As far as I know Magniers is brewed somewhere in london...

But its definatly the same, Same logo, Same can, Only thing that is different is the name....

While looking for this link I found out why its called Magners in the UK, They had to change the name as the makers of Strongbow, Woodpecker and Scrumpy Jack are also called Bulmers and have the name trademarked in the Uk....

Remember on night at my local, one of the many drunken fishermen (work hard/play hard), asleep at the bar, managed to wake up when the last order bell was rung and get another pint!!...

ive never fallen asleep at a bar myself but about 3 nights ago myself and another BM G-Unit went on a mad one, drinking white wine like it was going out of fasion, anyway we ended up in tiger disco and i supposedly fell asleep at the table for one hour and was drooling all over the place. i wouldnt have believed it only a few of the BG's i seen the next night showed me pics of it on their camera phones, im just happy i didnt vomit. i was thinking to myself "why the hell didnt the bouncers throw me out" and then i just thought im probably their best customer in that disco.anyway no harm done. it was really funny though because the next morning i got an sms off G-Unit saying "what happened last night"...................i couldnt remember shit either

We do that too here in the UK as boozing ain't cheap here.

One of my old favourites was a bottle of merrydown cider + 2 cans of Tennents Super, mix together into 1 large bottle (a very strong snakebite) and drink through a pinhole made in the top of the bottle.

spot on ally, both are the exact same Geespot. its mild in strenght compared to alot of other ciders in ireland but its deffo the nicest and most popular hands down. on a warm day with ice the pint bottles are delicious

Sef I know ur from the south west so should know ur cider. Ive got m8's in bristol so im a regular down there and have drank the lots including good old Nach but Magners is the best cider ive ever tasted, its bloody lovely and in a pint glass of ice it gives it that extra bite.

U could only get bottles of magners before but ive noticed some bars have it on tap. I could be persuaded to start drinking again in Scotland with this stuff

Its like a craze here in Scotland, u walk into a bar and just about every young guy is drinking Magners

See there Sir Geir the problem is that you have to be Russian to consume big amounts of Vodka.... and it must be kept chilled in the freezer. I do that all the bloody time, stand at the end of Bangla with absolutely no idea where the bike is. Sometimes I just leave it and wait till morning and hopefully I'll remember. One time I found it outside SeaPearl the following day when I went for a drink and the bar staff told me my bike was still over the road - didn't even know I'd been up there the night before :embrassed

ROFTL.. This is just soo true.. I was losing my bike so much that I now park it the same place every time so as not to confuse myself.. I have had to report it lost to the police a couple of times now and pay a finders fee to whatever cop finds it..

My mate loses his car on regular occasions and his bike goes missing for days on end..

Shameful really.

the neds drink of choice after that was old england, el dorado sherry and the worst of all buckfast tonic wine

The normal drink of choice in trendy bars at the moment is Magners cider in large glass of ice - lovely

Falling asleep? - most of my drinking friends are animals and can drink like crazy so I regularly end up wasted while they're still sober. I've fallen asleep in pubs a few times, but my classic was falling asleep when I was a youngster on the train home from London with my friend, he got off at his stop and woke me up for my stop up next. Fell straight back to sleep. Woke up at 5am in Birmingham which was only about 75 miles further than I needed.

Heard a great story about a guy who got on his last train with a McD's and a porno mag. Fell asleep straight away, when he woke up someone had eaten his food and nicked his porno mag!
