I completely concur with what I just quoted above - the only "problem" comes when you post something on the internet, and then people's egos are involved in defending or attacking various positions. As to the reality, if the two parties involved are happy, that's all that matters, IMHO.

I suspect that if people continue to discuss things here in a civil manner, maybe this discussion won't be closed. Who knows. Closing discussions seems to be more related to the attitude of the posters, than to the topic itself.

LOS has a lot of wonderful things to offer over and beyond the "P4P" scene. It's a nice place, with great food, reasonable prices, and a fascinating world quite different from where I've lived most of my life. I've been doing the math, and it's not totally out of the question to consider moving here for a much longer time, and see if I still feel the same way before making even bigger changes in my life.

thaicam...not having a go ,just was intrested to know when you handed the girl 300 baht what was her reaction? i've never given a girl anything but the "going rate" plus tip. i'm suprised and frankly amazed she just walked away from it!!!! i would think most bargirls(hardcore at least) wouldn't leave until they got the money they thought they were owed, and in that situation i could imagine things escalating into a nasty situation!
i for one would be concerned that the girl might return later with some "brothers" to collect rest of money. way too much hassle when you on holiday for fun.

Think I read this thread before,about 5 years ago.
I reckon 1000 baht(which is 7.89 beers, which here in oz is about what I spend before any farang girl looks good) is too cheap no price rise in quiet a few years.
5 years ago 800 to 1000 baht was going rate.
this relates to $30 to $35 aud for LT a very good rate for punters.
At home for a companion for 1 hour is $150 to $200,and dont get the added extra's of GF experince.
I believe different rates for different girls always give a tip if a good time had.
In a way forums like ours type of set rates in patong.

Sorry, but I'm not getting back into that discussion. Just one thing, it was not a BG, and our arrangement was agreed to ahead of time. It was the opposite of a nasty situation, and we got together again and again, and I've never "bragged" nor do I intend to. It's all just IMHO. I do not have any particular issue with discussing the subject of BG pricing. You have already posted your own assumptions regarding me and my personal relationship, that were totally incorrect. You now have made anotherone, equally incorrect. Just look above at my posts, I am contributing to a thread regarding bg pricing and wow!!!!! making comments regarding my opinions.

I close threads that I think have run their course but feel offer information to future readers, I delete threads that I feel offer no value for the future. I sometimes close threads that I feel have or will go into a flamefest because of the topic, the members posting or the content of their posts. Its my call as a moderator.

I make these decisions for the betterment of this forum, I know how annoying it is for existing members when someone opens an old thread and revives a topic that had not been posted on for two years or so previously, especially if they feel the topic has been exhausted.

If I make these actions, and as moderators we discuss my action and feel it to be incorrect, we re-open or undelete them. The actions I decide on are never done with any personal reasons associated.

I answer all questions asked of me, but do not feel I need to justify my actions or reasons to anyone other than fellow moderators or Nicke.

Now do you have a problem with this??? if so please pm me and allow this thread to get back on track.
