But, at the same time... it was poor taste (in a different thread) for me to even question whether you got tested after having a BF girl pass away on you of unknown causes.

It's obvious that everyone has a stake in the livelihood of others' well being... Someone did in these guys... do you want to celebrate that?

You seem really good at twisting around the details of the original article.

First, you missed the following:

"Col Arayapan denied a report in a local newspaper that Mr Anurak had been employed as a tout for a go-go bar near Soi Bangla, saying only that the man was unemployed and had a cousin in Patong."

Second, you left out the information that this person had a drug problem, and that seems to be what caused his suicide.

You're the one who posted the link to the news report, so either you didn't really read it, or you're twisting it around on purpose to give you a place to "get even" or something with the touts. If you're happy the guy is dead, that says a lot about you.

So that's why the title for this thread is "GoGo bar tout dead"? That's not at all what it says in the news article referenced in the link. According to the article, the person found dead was specifically said NOT to be a tout.

What do I want? I seem to recall quite a few people here being opposed to what they referred to as posting inaccurate information, and needing to correct it. I could be wrong, but I think you were one of them, yes?

I think that several of you have such a nasty opinion of touts that you're blinded by your hate. You only "see" those parts of a news report that back up what you already expect or want to see. Anyone with an open mind would see that this posting is the opposite of what Col. Arayapan said - or are you calling him a liar as well?

the OP posted a link that has a story and it may be possible the guy was a gogo tout. the story is of some interest on the forum because of the discussions we have had concerning touts. the story mentions that there were rumors the guy was a gogo tout and the police said he wasnt

Yep, if the OP had worded it like you just did, I'd never have said anything at all. If everyone took it the way you just explained it, you're right, and I'm wrong, and that's the end of it. (I didn't read it that way - I took it as a statement of fact, not just a possibility.)

Why do I feel the need to dissect everything? It's just the way I am. That's why I hate all the political BS I get to read every day in the US, as just about everything is twisted around to only show/promote one point of view. There's almost always two sides to any issue...

What you just said is a lot of why I like (and am often so puzzled by) Thailand. I think there is no "box" in Thailand - and if there is, I don't understand it. Any attempt to discuss things logically in Thailand falls apart, as the "logic" there is nothing even remotely close to what I'm used to. I find it very difficult to stop thinking the way I do, but all it takes is a couple of Singhas, and all the "logical" stuff no longer seems to matter.
