How quiet is this low season?

I think this is the quietest low season I can remember, well especially for the bars. however things change and tourists numbers alter, we are starting to get a lot more bookings for July than normal but mainly from Russians, maybe they have a summer holiday or something in July?

We also had a much larger proportion of Russians booking over last high season but they self entertain mainly, they rarely go to restaurants but cook at home, only go to bars occasionally again entertaining at home. But they shop like its going out of fashion and hit all the touristy places during the day.

So as said before, Phuket tourists are yet again changing, surely the secret is to change and accommodate the requirements of the new tourist?? maybe for a bar stock a load of vodka and put up signs in Russian?

Had three Aussie female vets last week who just sat around the pool with a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and a 12 pack of Tonic Water.......Snagged all my lemons as well....The Flamin' Galah's!

Nice to have the pool to myself again as Bri and Jim don't use it!

Can employ 18+ but no body under 20 is supposed to allowed to drink alcohol (farang or Thai) - employing sub 18 could land the bar with closure and/or up to 50k fine.

Bars/clubs are not supposed to admit any one under 20 from entry (I supposed on the assumption they would be drinking alcohol).

Do most of the girls go back up north for low season? Also I read on a stickman article that the lease for part of Bangla road is up in 2013, so does that mean there are less girls available come high season than previous years?

I can claim to be the best C4 player in Phuket.

But only because I have a programme on my laptop that plays a perfect game.

I have used it on a couple of occasions, once with a mamasan who could not conceive of a farang beating her at the game.

Diablo a go go on Seadragon has some hotties, a lot of them go to Hollywood after they finish work if have not been barfined.

The girls from the other main go gos cannot go to the discos unless they pay mamasan.

Soi Tiger well worth a look - some real stunners but be prepared to spend a few quid for LDs!

Can't comment on Bangla Rd, but Soi Eric's lease is up in July 2013 and may close or be redeveloped. The bar scene in Bangla isn't going anywhere just yet IMO.
I was there in April (mid/high season) and there were no shoreforum.xxxe of girls around.

it`s nice to be able use the roads in some sort of orderly manner again,although there is still plenty of construction related traffic around.

i feel sorry for the bar owners and BG`s sitting around in empty bars.
problem is you sit down in one of them and they get ideas that you are the lucky customer for the night and they all want a drink as soon as you park your ar5e on a stool....bit of a catch 22,everyone likes to sit at a bar that is a bit lively.
