I see this situation different to you because the guy offered her one thousand Lire instead of one thousand Baht, and it was the BG who thought the customer had made a mistake by offering her the equivalent of one thousand dollars. It was her desire to rip him off that was her own downfall, she should of course have said “no no one thousand Lire too much I take one thousand Baht better for you”.

The Thais have an expression for this sort of comeuppance and if anyone can post it I will give my next BG a larger than normal tip on your behalf.

why would anybody want to scam a BG, their prices are more than reasonable and you get a very personal service. i think most BG's are great fun and when i was there i was happy to pay 1000 baht per night. in holland you get 10 mins for 50 euros and the girls can be right cunts. the last time i was there i was shagging a dutch girl in the red light area and she was looking at her watch while i was giving her my all, didnt exactly do wonders for my confidence....... very impersonal. BG's are very friendly and cant do enough to please you. they are great girls

ya know how many times ive gotten calls asking me how much a certain currency is in thai baht. was always her friend wanting to know. i gladly looked it up on internet and passed on info. sometimes freaking them out for a bit before telling them the right amount

You might be forgetting that some tourist boasting about ripping off a BG did not tell this story to me, it was told to me by the BG in question. She definitely saw the funny side of the incident and we laughed so much that many of her friends came over to enquire as to what we were laughing at. When they were reminded of the tale they too started laughing and just about every girl said “som nom naa”.

I understand that it is politically incorrect to laugh about stealing so much as a satang from a rich man, but remember, “all is fair in love and mongering”.

i dont think i gave a girl less than 1500baht, and that included some ST that i knew i was never going to see again, so i wasnt trying to procure better treatment later. like you say denver, its my money, up to me. every single girl i took was a pleasure, very nice, willing. the extra 500-800baht i gave them meant a hell of alot more to them than me.

When all said and done, we are bloody loaded, most of us in full-time employment. I wouldn't want to have to stand in a bar all night selling my body for what amounts to about 15GBP (I've done it before and didn't like it!)

im not trying to score any points, just how i feel. if you look at it. meet a girl in soi 7 beergarden, drink for 1 hour, makes me laugh like hell, go back to the room, have a great time for an hour. so 2 hours maybe 1650baht total(about 40usd) ill buy that any time!

I'm not scoring you or anything here Marc, why should I? I understand what you say and fully agree! I can't think of one girl I actually just gave a 1000 Baht note to! I hear what you say and feel exactly the same. If I sit with her and chat, have a laugh, she makes me feel as though I am the centre of her known universe for a however long! We have a relaxed, fun time back at mine. Then I will give her as much money as I want!

Like anything in life if it's crap service anywhere, you resent paying for it, but inevitably to save hassle (Typical British trait) we pay and have done with it. I will pay the girls the going rate and if I feel like giving a little bit more to her as a 'Feel Good' factor for me, then like you Marc, she gets the money. :thumbsup:
