Shareaza has settings where you can alter the speed definition, there is a serious difference between KB and kb, 8x to be fairly exact...bit and byte aint the same

200kb divided by 8 gives you 25 KB, this is of course true with mb and MB...and so on..

I do know all this (ten years working in the internet ) - and what I wrote was what I got, a very slow d/l speed, no matter what I did with the settings. I'm on a 2Mb DSL connection as well.

I use bitlord, and that works fine! I saw the movie now, it is not bad, nice to see some BG's, but the movie is a bit boring.

Yes, I did, but I do not understand the meaning of Mercora, what it does exaxtely and the link, I find the page, but something goes wrong with the download, it stops immidetely, saying it is ready!

The torrent itself is just a little file saying on which pc's the real file is located and a lot of other info, you need a bittorrent client to get the actual file.
I use Azureus but Shareaza would also suffice, Shareaza has the more normal p2p program look to it and will also connect to Gnutella1+2 as well as Edonkey, enabling searches for whatever material.

But if you are not a computer wizard and/or too lazy to read Shareaza will work for downloads.
I must mention that Azureus require java from Sun, also available on the homepage. All can be found fairly easy through google.


Mercora is simply an advertisment and of no importance to you, just leave it alone.
You have already downloaded the torrent which is a tiny file that will tell your bittorrent client where to get the actual file.
So now you need a client to open the torrent and start the download with
