Hey team. Looking to try something new. I’ve been to La Bella, GE, that diamond spa place, seen Laura and Robin. What would you suggest for a change of pace and why? Thanks

Healing Massage on 124 St and 107 Ave (old Summer place) no RMT receipts though even if the Kijiji ad says it's RMT.
Want to give Interlude a try since it's new management but you pay upfront first and have higher up sell after?
And new Goldlife where it's new management and different ladies now. The previous polite lady opened her own place near Beverly.
I had good experience at YQ and Best Care too so it's something you can see for yourself too.

you've been to the best, its going to be hard to try new things and feel like you had good experiences or got your moneys worth. I know its subjective. But while seeing the 'best' on a bit of rotation previously, I would crave something new or different, so I would try an indie or someone else mentioned here I hadn't seen - and I was usually a bit disappointed. Or i felt like i wasted some of the money I have saved for this stuff, that could have been used on a more "guaranteed" good time, like La Bella or GE.

After a while its about finding the kind of person you most enjoy your time with, not just who has a good reputation.

That said, you could try Rosewater if you haven't - Crystal or Jessie.
Nanas on the west end has some quality times consistently.
you could see how your experience with Taz goes. the reviews here are accurate but everyone clicks different with her.
or go lighter on the massage part and try Sensual Jen if you haven't already.
Do the JOSI BRAZIL bodyslide.
(the last two are definite change of pace from visiting the asian massage studios)

I've never paid upfront at interlude? Is this requirement just for new customers? I've seen Amy many times at various locations

Well that just scratches Interlude off my bucket list. I will never pay up front before services are delivered. That leaves no incentive for them to provide any relatively good services - and certainly the opportunity to upsell once they've got you on the table. I'll certainly tip well for going above and beyond, but up front? Not a chance.

a service provider is incentivized by the tip, not the service fee. You can't possibly think you have the right to not pay at all if you didn't like the massage. If you don't like, don't come back, but you don't stiff someone on their wage.

Curious if you have ever offered less than the full 60 minute price, even if the massage was bad? I know I haven’t. And I doubt others has have shorted the ladies on the initial massage. I got my receipt, and I’ve just never gone back to that provider again.

I don’t think the “pay up front” service is the issue to me. I’ve had a few poor massages that I’ve still paid full price for, it just turns into one and done for me.
The only part I might negotiate on is the flip……Maybe. And even then, if it’s half ass, I pay, and add then to my no fly zone.

You guys have a point about the quality of the massage and although it's never happened to me, if I was bait n switched I'd like to be able to walk without paying., With pre-pay they could have some hottie walk you to the room and have some ugly smelly dude show up to give you a massage and you can walk but you're out your massage fee. (Unless you like massages from some ugly smelly dude... )

There was this home based woman that was "from Vancouver" and had advertised a reasonable base massage rate. We got about half way through the massage on the flip and she'd been teasing and we discussed HE. He prices were so unrealistic it was hilarious, omg. Then she started telling me some shit about how cheap people in Edmonton were, her rates were standard or even low for Vancouver. My big head was angry and my little head was not interested at all anymore, so I got up, handed her half the massage fee since we'd only completed half the massage, and I left.

That's the only time I can recall not at least paying the massage fee.

i recall that vancouver woman . she was a nightmare. one of the few extremely bad experiences i have ever had. sunmy on 75 st is awsome. i would always recommmend her

yeah i get the part about bait n switch. if i'd already paid then i would definitely feel the tension there. I once went to see Betty in the early days on 75th and then while on the table waiting an old lady came in. I had none of it and started getting dressed and left - but they didn't ask for the fee up front.

i think there are a lot of places that don't ask up front, a lot of indies who don't also. but if they ask, I do. especially with the indies, they don't have the margin to be risking with the number of assholes who would take the massage and then jet. it happens way more than we think. they would rather risk pissing off the one of us who refuses to pay up front, than deal with the number of dudes who would dine n dash.

Two sides to the coin, of course. Paying up front for a 60min massage and only getting 45min. Being short changed on the time comes up quite often in this forum.

Reminds me of one time I saw LauraEdmonton. It was, as usual, a fantastic time and, as usual, she wasn't rushed at all so we chatted afterward and had tea until I had to leave. We just said our good-byes and a kiss and hug and I left. About 5-6 blocks away I'm like, "Holy shit! I didn't pay her!!" So I pull a U-turn and head back and with a totally red face paid her with an extra green above my usual tip. I asked her why she didn't say anything and she just said, "I know you're good for it until next time!" What a great girl!
