Hi Guys,

A quick update on this story as some of you were interested in knowing how my relationship with this girls would go.

She is calling me from time to time and I call her about every 2 weeks.
She has been a few days in her home town lately and sent my some pictures by email of her family, the house she is building....
And no she hasn't asked for any money so far, so I'm thinking that maybe she had true fellings towards me... who knows

Ultras, you say she hasn't asked you for money so far and you seem to assume this equates with her having true feelings towards you. I agree that this is probably the case but also, don't make the assumption that if she does ask for monetry help that her feelings for you are less.
For Thai girls, love and money are tied together. like peaches and cream etc. I've heard many times from different girls the expression "love alone is no good " To put it in a nutshell. The majority of these girls just can't afford the luxury of love alone, no matter how much they think of you.
Also, you guys that like to tell all and sundry your tales of free sex in Thailandn need to sit down and think a little. It may do your ego's good but do you really think that these girls are in Patong for their health ?? Believe me, their there to make a living. ie. fcuk for money and anyone who dosn't pay them is a deluded twat.

Sorry Ultras.......I Agree with Ali on this subject........didn't it occurr to you to give the girl some money surruptisiously??....she passeed up working (money!!!) and made herself available to you.....at your whim......for the whole time you were there...the girl's gotta eat man!!!!

It doesn't make you weak to give her some compensation for this........just cruel really IMHO.........i really hope you don't repeat this kind of behaviour in future........don't get me wrong I am not trying to ridicule you here....I just want you to think!!!!

I probably agree with you that it was a real GF experience....sounds like it really was.....and it is probably most likely even that she loves you....but she still needs your cash to survive whilst you are taking her out of her job and the means for her to earn money to live......simple as that really!

Next time she emails you ask her for her account details and send her some money...Surely if you had a good time then you would have felt like giving her something??? A little bit of moula goes a long way for these girls...and not all of them are fake...

I disagree with all posters who insist money is a critical factor. It seems likely this girl's feelings for you are genuine, paying money could have two negative repercussions. One you could set a precedent when she starts demanding more, two you might make her feel trashy, whether or not she works at a bar, she might not want you to feel like you have to pay for her company if she wants something real.

The issue of money will come up eventually if she doesn't have some type of job that allows her to achieve all she wants in life, however the attitude I see here that money will smooth all the edges and is the glue that keeps all farang-thai relations together seems wrong to me, I realize it is the predominant theme in many thai-farang relations but that only shows how many are fake and built on illusion.

Sure if I was with a bar girl I would pay what is fair as a service is being provided, but in my opinion true love is not a service and I don't need to spend some cash to keep the unspoken illusion that the situation is in actuality pay for play and not love. I'd rather not pay and be alone. Most Thai girls do ask for money at some point, but again just because it's the norm doesn't mean you have to accept it.

I say develop a relationship that has a fair balance, it's ok to pay for nights out and most other things if you clearly have the economic advaneforum.xxxe, however if it is a real relationship she needs to bring more to the table than her sexy looks. So don't feel guilty about not stuffing 5,000 baht in her wallet. Love isn't charity and it sounds like you don't want to live in a fantasy world.
