My 2 cents, alot of the bargirls are not so rich they can afford to go gratis for such a long time. At the end of the day most still have to send money home to mama or to look after a child, as well as keep up with her friends in terms accessories / clothes etc.

My view is that some of the girls that the OP spoke about, are declining to mention the money in the hope there is either

a) some sort of payment at the end of your trip or time with her.
b) the lottery win of a farang becoming involved with her and falling in love maybe leading to alot more down the track.

I must admit also there is some stigma for some guys that as soon as money changes hands after 'boom boom', there it is in black and white. She is the working girl and you whether you like it or not are the punter.

I must admit it took me some time to become comfortable with this notion.
Just because she fails to ask for money, doesnt mean she doesn't need or want it.

I have been to Karon 6 times in the past 4 years and I have been accompanied by my 2 sons either together or separately on 4 of those trips. I'm 49, my oldest is now 25 and the other one is 24. The girls hit on them big time. It's quite clear to me that the girls find them attractive and fun to be with and don't usually ask them for money. I always advise my boys to give the girls 1000 baht for LT and they do so although it never seems to be expected.
In my opinion, if my boys buy drinks and food and treat the girls well and give them a break from some of the older and less attractive punters (I don't fit this category ... honest) then no crime has been committed but as I say, I encourage the boys to give the girls something and they do so willingly.
I am not always asked for money but I know I can afford it and I know the girls need it and it makes me feel good. I also feel better knowing that the cash usually goes to support their children or families.
From a purely selfish point of view, I could take the attitude that I'm just making it harder for me to compete with the boys but there are plenty of girls to go around and we don't always have the same tastes anyway.
On my last trip, I had a gorgeous young thing who just wanted to party all night every night and after a few nights I told her she could do what she wanted to do but I was going home to sleep. She joined my oldest son and his other girl and by all accounts, she leapt on him with great enthusiasm. She was encouraged by her friend but the friend later became a little cool with my son. After that, I wouldn't see 'my girl' any more (understandable from my point of view) and the other girl lost interest in my son. There were plenty more girls so no problem. The point is that the girls enjoy partying with good looking, fun young men and don't always put money first. I don't always want to be slugging vodka red bull and dancing at Safari until the sun comes up. So my kind of girl is one who is happy to have a few drinks and leave Safari around 2am leaving enough time to get to bed and enjoy sex before passing out for the night.
Anyway, I'm not making any judgements either way. A little consideration and respect and judgement should always be exercised.
