Oh, n yes like @bundanlapo said, there are these small booklets. I have few colleagues working out of tokyo for past 2-3 years and they confirmed the same. Apparently, it goes like this:
- hotel/room owner has contacts with 'service providers [ SP ]'
- SP boys get info on residents - guys, single / married, daily schedule etc.
- boys put 'service brochures/booklets' into the rooms
- you call, girl comes and services you. Nothing different here
- one observation is Jgirls usually try to get you off quickly unless handled carefully

P.S. my colleagues don't know japanese and still never had issues ordering service.
