<div class="bbWrapper">I just read two treads that gave me some information that may (adversly) impact my trip to BKK. <a href="http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/nightlife/15491-bar-closure-dates.html" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phuket-info.com%2Fforums%2Fnightlife%2F15491-bar-closure-dates.html&hash=a4cc0b0f12fcf1a3ef702af2c289a4f7" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/nightlife/15491-bar-closure-dates.html</a> lists the Thai public holidays, most of which mean no bars will be open, this includes <b>Saturday 7 October (Paravana Day)</b>. In addition this thread: <a href="http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/nightlife/15392-upcomming-bar-closing-day-s.html" target="_blank" class="link link--external" data-proxy-href="/proxy.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.phuket-info.com%2Fforums%2Fnightlife%2F15392-upcomming-bar-closing-day-s.html&hash=dfe6845332ca72774ed6e5c129b34458" rel="nofollow ugc noopener">http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/nightlife/15392-upcomming-bar-closing-day-s.html</a> discuses the rules on alcohol. This thread also identifies Sunday 15 October as General Election meaning <b>Friday October 14</b> all sale of alcohol is banned. <br />
<b><span style="color: navy">Did the coup do away with this day with ban on alcohol or is it still on the books?</span></b><br />
<br />
I am not so cencerned with the availability of alcohol as I can stock up the day before. I am more concerned with ready availability of companionship.<br />
