Realistically, if admin moves the most obvious off-topic threads (political, racist, conspiracy, M777) to Chit Chat in a timely manner, deletes personal info, and bans multiple handles, that's probably as good as it'll get. For everything else, just put the shills, spammers, trolls, and other useless members on ignore.

Someone above suggested the ability to put threads on ignore. That would be great too, but that's a function of the forum software. I looked into this and the are a few add ons for this:

XF 2.1 - Xenforo's own IGNORE function - is there one?

I've been asked to install an addon to Ignore threads, but it seems there should be an Ignore threads function built-in XF2? Where is it? After searching the forum here, I looked in the admin panel on our forum, but any search result isn't pointing to it. Thanks in advance, Andre

The whole point of this board is to review the ladies in a basic form to provide feedback to the members about ladies and how the services and booking process goes. It is hardly helpful to allow users to create multiple accounts and have full out conversations with themselves to create interest in a particular lady or ladies. This is what this board should not be.

Many have been called out after not remembering that they forgot to change accounts and responding to themselves. This is a cancer and must be cut out. This not only decieves but is free advertising and shilling at its best.

For the sake of the new comers, all admin need is to get rid of Ursula, M777 and a few racists, half the job is done by doing that and the image of the site will look much better.. The rest is a piece of cake and we can manage ourselves..

You talk to yourself about free speech and like posts talking about how open this site is . Yet you complain about racists and other things you don’t like. Do you even know what free speech is? I am not making fun of you here I am seriously curious because a person can’t praise free speech yet bitch about things that they don’t like. Free speech doesn’t work that way.

Here's how I see things regarding Massage Planet and how it's run.
Just some thoughts in no particular order.

It appears that admin runs things on his own with no moderators to share the workload. This can be a time consuming endeavour, so for one person to do it, there has to be some short cuts taken or some things just can't get done.
Just a guess, but it's probably not admin's full time job, so again, he has to pick and choose what to focus on.
Maybe having a moderator or two would help if in fact admin actually does want to make changes.

Given the subject matter and the raison d'être of boards like this, deciding what is and what isn't appropriate is a very fine line to walk. Personally, I think the following types of posts should be deleted: overtly racist; childish name calling; school yard style fights; useless questions and comments that are completely unrelated to the thread; personal attacks and insults toward other members and providers; outing anyone's personal information.

About shilling. Just like the world's oldest profession, it's always been around on the boards and it always will. Most members are smart enough to know which posts are genuine and which posts are shills and which posts fall somewhere in the middle. Most know whose posts are trustworthy and whose posts should be taken with a grain of salt.

Advertising posts. In a perfect world, admin would get paid for all advertising. If strict limits were instituted, this board would look very much like one of the other boards, so is that a viable option? Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on which direction admin wants to take. As others have suggested, maybe a separate section for advertisements is the way to go. Ads go here, reviews go in the appropriate section.

Having said all that, the bottom line is if you don't like this board, go find another one that better suits your needs.
Just like when choosing a MP. You know what you like, there are options, you choose accordingly.

And if you really don't like your choices, start your own board and see how that goes.

This board has grown significantly in the past couple of years, so admin must be doing something right.

Threads on ignore would be good for members, along with the personal ignores. I am pretty sure the bulk of viewers to this site are lurkers like I was for years wanting to know who was available and where.

That's ok for experienced members here but the newbies just joined might think what kind of garbages we are having here. We do need a little moderation to keep the site nice and clean and informative.

The signal to noise ratio is way down in the past couple of years, so I'm not really convinced of this argument any more. We can argue about how truthful terb reviews are but there is still a steady supply of reviews, and some on the massage forums openly discuss extras without being nerfed. Here threads are derailed by trolls and shills constantly and quite a few posters have clearly given up hope of getting laid and instead just shitpost endlessly about failed politicians.
