I don't like the idea of paying interest on debt. That money can be of better use to lower our taxes. The economy can improve and grow when taxes are reduced. It's been proven that when a consumer has more money in his pocket, he will spend more, and that helps everyone.

Actually, the opposite of has been proven. Taxes have done nothing but be lowered since the 1970s and our infrastructure, educations system etc. have all lost ground. Trickle down is one of the greatest frauds perpetuated on public policy by so-called economists of the Chicago School.

I'm not saying borrowing should be unrestricted, that way lies dragons too, but the concept that a government budget is a household budget or that lowering taxes from their current level will help the economy is fantasy. There is a path between those two extremes that does allow government to take action.

When they do open in the GTA it will be a cluster fuck. They have no governing body to make sure they follow all the rules. Bylaw cant get around to everyplace to ensure compliance of guidelines that are being set out. And you know some of these girls dont give a shit about their health, they just want money.

I'd say pick your places wisely.

They did say "spas providing massage services". It's going to be nuts. Like you said, be careful out there and pick your spots (but of course, no one will LOL). More and more spas opening discreetly now...

Interesting- and I’m slightly more optimistic so thank you BUT it is not CP24 that sets the parameters and in the document from the government it literally just says “day spas” and nothing about massage

Ok so let me be even more specific if you are a licensed “body rub parlour” (because that’s the type of license possessed by the likes of Flirt, Seduction, Pure,etc) are you in the official category of “day spa”

I want to be optimistic and say "day spas" means what we all think it does. The Ontario website has beauty parlours, aestiticians and Mani/pedi services in a different bullet point than day spa. I mean, what else could it be?

Instead of speculating, I guess the best thing to do would be to phone a massage parlour in a stage 2 region on Friday to confirm.

the site you linked to is from the US and of a general nature and furthermore does not contemplate the “body rub parlour” concept in its listing of massage as a sub component of day spa

I say again can we specifically confirm that body rub parlours (because that’s what they are licensed as) - even though they might have the word spa in their somewhere - are officially included in the day spa category announced today?
