Your favourite gripe about customer service in bars/gogos

i have had padded bills to my knowledge from "mistakes" 3 times in different bars
all relatively small
but in every instance that i pointed it out( and in a very call manner i may add 5555) they have all been very hostile to the point i thought their be a confrontation

Ok maybe people could make their own personal list of wich bars, gogos and massage parlors they like and not talk about the others who are not so good.

Some kind of, my top 5 bars or whatever.

You are right with the music and the hip-hop. If I heard some Pink Floyd or some other great classic rock coming from a bar I would head right in there thinking 'thank god someone is playing actual music'. If it suddenly switched to hip-hop I would stop in my tracks and out the door I would go.

I would love to go into the discos and dance clubs to check out the FL's but the hip-hop(I can't even get myself to call it music) is intolerable to me.

I realize that it's inevitably what I'm going to hear walking around Bangla and throughout the soi's, I still have fun drinking, talking story and having a few laughs with mates and BG's at the bars, but that noise doesn't make it as enjoyable as it could be.

Since people's taste's vary widely, why not just go and discover for yourself?

Isn't that part of the "fun" of traveling to new places?

The bargirls that hustle you for a lady drink get to me the most (hit and runs). I had 3 or 4 them do that to me at a bar one night when I was looking to barfine one. After the third or 4th hit and run I got the mamason, complained to her about the service. And she starts yelling at me, like its my fault somehow.
Never went back there and that was over a year ago.

I've found the bars that provide the best consistent service and I like to stick with them when I am out.
In the past I used to get upset over the service of bars for many, many reasons. Now I just don't go back to them.

We need to get used to the fact we won't be seeing a lot of great bargirls anymore. So many tourist come and sponsor them right away, or a girl can find a farang though other mediums (online dating and such) and not have to degrade her self in a bar. It's a real shame... We're left with bottom of the barrel thug 4 life bar girls.

Yep! That is the sad truth. Those gals are the only reason and I mean ONLY reason I put myself through the agony of listening to rap or hip-hop.

Had a very unplesent expirience at the new agogo upsters in soi Croccodile, had bougt one of the girls 1 drink (I dont mind). It was close to closing time. Then suddenly a thai man comes over , the girl says he is pappasan, (there alredy where a fat mammasan there). Then she said she had to be bought 10 drinks that evening or she would not get paid, (she had only been bought 6).
Never expirienced sutch bullshit before. One thing is girls husling for drinks, but that just unpleasent.
Makes me not want to come back to the place. Hasling the few custumers that where there, is not the way to get repeat buisness.

Ripoff yes but that is a worldwide ripoff in bars. Bars make more money from mixers and soft drinks than they do from spirits.
Those mixers that get made from syrup and get squirted into your drink cost virtually nothing to produce so are almost pure profit for bars.

Ice misers shit me too.
I'll happily take a drink with lots of ice that stays COLD while you drink it, at the expense of a few ml's of extra lolly-water.
All the coke in the world is useless if it's warm IMO.

(I like this forum. I just quit one about Chrysler's muscle cars. It just seemed to get dryer and dryer.. I kept the Charger though)
