I have heard that spiel before.. And the modern world has so many more complex issues that previous generation simply didnt face... Problems like is that gear cut with ketamine ?? Is that MDMA or MDA ?? The chemical generation has risk issues which simply didnt exist even for the 60 counter culture generation. Designer drugs where not designed yet. About 30 - 50% of the people I grew up with, that took the large regular doses for messy weekends as a lifestyle have lost the plot one way or another. To think you did just means you dont know the extent of the issue.

Its not a case of younger and think they know more.. But its a different world and its not all roughly the same on repeat.

Yes you might say there are more dangers in the 'designer' type drugs around and you're probably right, but I still had a couple of acquaintances die of Heroin overdoses and many others smoked, poped pills and the like. The main difference was people didn't talk about so much it in my youth, however, believe me it was there, and whether you die of a designer drug or heroin .......... you still die ........

There are certainly differences for the current generation to face.

To precis it all by quoting the difficulties in choosing the current chemical life enhancer does not cut (no pun) it though.

There are those of the 60/70 set that never took any type of chemical enhancement to 'improve' their life, stay awake longer, separate from the real world for a while etc.

For any generation, any need for such chemical concoction means the individual has problems in the real world and that has to be addressed.

In my profession I have come into contact with many people whose head and life have been screwed by prescriptions that they 'needed.' To actually choose to take risks with unregulated and unsupervised chemical cocktails is suicide waiting to happen.

Every generation has its challenges and every generations challenges are differnt as the World moves on.
That challenge should not include what drug is the safest to neck, sniff or smoke.
