I smell quite well....I am rather fond of different types of cologne(Obsession being my favorite). Of course this is only worn after showering twice a day. I enjoy being groom(haircut and manicure..i.e. pampered) every 5 days. And there is no clothing that I wear that cost less than 4000 baht. This is not bragging...just trying to give substance to the idea. This is the life I have chosen for myself and would never subject it to anything less. I love what I do and work very hard to maintain it.

While we are talking music on this thread I particularly like the words in a Bob Marley song called War from memory from the Rastaman Vibration album, yes it came out before CDs. The words are “I live for the day when the colour of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the colour of his eyes” wouldn’t it be a great world if we ever got to that, reminds me of a John Lennon song.

The other thing mentioned many times was smell. If personal hygiene is not the issue it is usually dietary related. Vegetarians say they can smell meat eaters. If you have even been drunk on Bundy rum you will know that the next day all that you can smell coming out of your pores is the smell of what made you feel like death warmed up.

I do agree i try and not disrespect the local culture when i am away.... I am a guest in there country so why should i disrespect them....

I have a few friends that are Muslim and they said some of the stuff that has happened, suicide attacks and 9/11 makes them ashamed to be called Muslim. That the quran preaches peace and because of a minority the majority are hated..... (i am sorry for any spelling errors)

But with all things its because of a minority that we tend to brand all as bad... Which is a shame..... everyone does it or has done it at somepoint in there life... I am no exception to that. This thread was to say are Thai girls racist.... They probably are but then i think thats unfair to say Thai girls are racist etc etc because lets face it at some point in our lives we have all been guilty of racism... I think if someone says they havent there either god, Naieve or just lieing.

Thank heavens that BG's have not heard these "racist" comments and took them at face value. Most forms of racism are due to an insular upbringing and lack of contact with different races. Everyone should be treated as an individual , there are good and bad in all societies , including Thai. One other point , perhaps a lot of what BG's think is influenced by what they hear and see from farangs , if we accept someone for who they are , and ignore colour/race , then just maybe the BG's viewpoint will change.



PS. All the "racist" comments at the start of this post are untrue. Well, maybe the one about the Welsh is pretty close.

Myth? What myth? Of course, not all black men have big d!cks. They come in all sizes, just like any other race. However, a lot of black men do. Not that many white guys are packing big 'uns, but a lot of black guys are. Therefore, I don't consider it a myth at all, even though to say "all" black men is a bit of an exaggeration!

The reason that "persons of color" would not be PC is because up to probably the 1960's there were areas of the US where African Americans were called colored folk, and it was a derogatory statement, used like "the colored folk don't live here" or something of that type of statement.

This would probably happen with a few words in the US.
